Barberville -1st Saturday Jams and Dance

Barberville - this COMING WEEKEND, August 2nd!!!

Well, here it comes - the first of hopefully MANY
First Saturday fun jams and dances -

Bring your friends, kids, etc for the whole day or even just part of the day - workshops from 10am till 2:30pm, dance from 3pm to 5pm with music by The Possum Pickers with Pat Czar calling - workshops and dance will be inside in the air-conditioned areas. And you'll still have time to get to an evening gig or dance elsewhere as Barberville is so convenient to so many folks

Only $6 for the entire day (13 and up - only $4 for ages 5-12 - under 5/over 100 FREE!!) - light snacks/beverages available at the settlement - no coolers or pets please - jam with your friends around the settlement grounds

The Main Schoolhouse and the Blacksmiths Shop will be open during the day and guided tours ARE available of the settlement at the top of each hour (Meet in front of the Schoolhouse if you'd like to take part in one of the tours)

The following workshops will be inside the main schoolhouse buildings with workshops in the "Candle Room" and/or the "Inside Kitchen" - the dance will be in the auditorium.

As this is a one-day event, there won't be any provision for camping overnight as there has been at some of the weekend-long events

If you have flyers, concert schedules, etc. for some of your bands/groups/org upcoming events, PLEASE BRING THEM and we'll put them on a table, etc. so folks can pick up - if you're a musician/band, be sure and bring some CD's and such!!!
