at Woodview Coffee House, Lecanto

 

March comes roaring in at Woodview Coffee House in Lecanto when the duo Patchouli performs on Friday, March 2.   Doors open at 6:30pm and admission is $7 at the door.

Nationally touring, award winning songwriter Julie Patchouli and master guitarist Bruce Hecksel light up the air with sparkling acoustic sounds and their powerful contagious chemistry.  Twelve years of non-stop touring has honed this classically trained duo into legendary performers, dubbed “the hardest working folk duo in America”.

 
Famous for that smiling voice that instantly turns a bad day into a good one, Patchouli’s down-to-earth, hopeful songwriting is “New American Folk” blending elements of folk, pop, flamenco and jazz with world beat rhythms. Patchouli’s sound has been described as “the harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel meet the guitar brilliance of the Gipsy Kings”.

Woodview Coffee House will be located at Unity Church’s of Citrus County’s “Gratitude Café” (Fellowship Hall) 2628 Woodview Lane, Lecanto through season’s end in May. Doors will open at 6:30pm with admission of $7 per person.  Home baked refreshments will be available.


On April 6 the 3-D Band, dental professionals from the Ocala area, will present their musical offerings.
